My 1986 Mercedes 300SDL broke down (starter motor) in Scranton, PA. I am from Maryland so I called my insurance roadside assistance which could not come out for 4 - 5 hours. I called several shops including the local Mercedes dealer, and none were willing to help with a 40 year old car. I called a shop in Dalton that I was familiar with, but no longer in business, but, the son of the owner, David, had the number forwarded to his business DMI. David came out within in 15 minutes and towed my car back to his shop. Dropped what he was doing, diagnosed my car, and ordered a new starter, all before I was able to get back to his shop. I could not have hoped for a better mechanic and the total bill was extremely reasonable. It is hard to find this type of service these days. I only wish that he was local to me.

First time customer. One phone call and Dan got me right in. More importantly, the service was exceptional and thorough, he communicated clearly, resolving the issue and saving me time and money. If you have a Subaru, this is where you should start. I am very happy to bring my vehicle here again.

Our experience with Dave at DMI. I brought my car in for an inspection and a horn repair. I was told I would need to drop my car off and leave it for a few days as the part would need to be ordered. I was called the very same day a few hours later that my car was all good and could be picked up. When I picked up my car and went to start it after paying almost 500.00 the brake light was flashing and the anti skid light is on and the button that controls the anti skid light will not work. I immediately went back inside and Dave says “ oh those lights were on when you brought it in”. He then asks “ when ls the last time your brakes were done” ? Didnt he just inspect the car? So shouldnt Dave know the condition of my brakes? His claim that the lights were on is completely untrue. Then he starts telling some story of all these things he now thinks it could be. He tried telling me because I use my emergency brake from time to time that’s the cause of the brake light now flashing. And other ridiculous reasons for the lights on. The lights were NEVER on. I took my car to another dealer and he said the clock spring installed is bad. And the wheel was not straight when the work was done c

Dave went above and beyond to make sure my BMW GT was back in order after being rear ended , im a first time customer and Not only was he able to get the bumper painted to perfection but was able to also fix mechanical issues as well as got my vehicle towed to his location . Best part is Dave was able to save me money on the initial quote, going forward this will be my one stop shop for all German vehicles.
